PDF Little Prophets Bookmarks 2x6

These Little Prophet bookmarks are a great addition to any baptism or missionary gift. Each painting has bits of the prophets story. For example, the brother of Jared (faith), is holding 16 stones and has beehives behind him, representing his faith in the Lord and His ability to help us and the bees they brought with them to the promised land.
 
Bookmark size is 2x6 inches. They are easy to print from home on 8.5x11 printer paper. They will fit nicely in regular to large sets of scriptures.

One day I was listening to a General Conference address given by Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. He spoke on motherhood and the importance of our calling. He quoted from the Bible. Paul speaking to Timothy said, "And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures." Later, Paul said to Timothy, "When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also." Where did he learn the scriptures? From him mother and grandmother.
 
This really hit me. How am I teaching my son about the scriptures and the prophets? How can I help him to be a strong disciple of Jesus Christ?
 
So, I thought, why not paint the prophets paired with Christlike Attributes and hang them in his room? So, that's what I did. 
 
This project was great for me because I was able to dive into the scriptures and learn a little more about each prophet. It was especially wonderful to re-read the story of Joseph of Egypt. What an example of ALL of the Christlike attributes. In reality all these prophets were. 
It was quite difficult matching which prophet to which attribute but with the help of family and friends and a bit of studying I finally came up with a list that I was satisfied with. I wanted to have a balance between all the sacred works. There are so many to choose from, particularly from the Old Testament and the Book of Mormon. 

Why I matched particular prophets with the particular Christlike Attribute (found in "Preach My Gospel" for missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints):
 
Faith - The Brother of Jared - Ether 12:19-21
Hope - John the Baptist - Luke 1:80,John 1:20, 29, Matt 3
Charity & Love - Nephi - 1 Nephi 7:16-21
Virtue - Joseph of Egypt - Genesis 39:5-8; 40:39-44, 46
Knowledge - Isaiah - 3 Nephi 23:1
Patience- Joseph Smith Jr. - D&C 121:1-10
Humility - King Benjamin - Mosiah 2
Diligence- Paul - ALL of his epistles! He diligently and tirelessly worked to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to all who would listen. 
 Obedience- Adam - Moses 5:6
